Dear Parents of Trivium Prep 10th Grade and 11th/12th Greek Scholars,

We are delighted to announce our 2016-17 sophomore field trip. It has become a tradition to take an overnight field trip to Southern California. This year we will be visiting the world famous Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades which is a reproduction of a Roman Villa and Garden that houses a world class collection of ancient art and sculpture.

The plan is depart early on Friday the 24th of March, travel to southern California and arrive in enough time to spend a leisurely afternoon at Manhattan Beach. In the evening there will be a presentation and seminar on a scholarly topic in preparation for the visit to the Getty Villa. Saturday we will enjoy the Getty Villa, and time permitting, visit Pepperdine University in Malibu, a school famous for its ‘great books’ program that is similar to ours.

We are hopeful that every sophomore is able to attend this trip and we are also inviting all the Juniors and Seniors that are in our Classic Language program to join in. I am aware that we have not given as much notice as we would typically like to give; this is unfortunate but a consequence of previous plans falling through. Many thanks are owed to Mrs. Jodi Ogle for her hard work in organizing this trip. Following are a list of important details:
